About us

Our story

Welcome to Care To Paws! With years of experience caring for all types of pets, I give every animal I work with the same love and compassion I give to my own precious cat. My rescue cat is the reason I started pet-care work. He came to me as a foster, and I soon learned he had unexpected trauma-related behavioural issues. I lovingly, patiently nursed him to good physical and mental health, and ended up giving him his forever home —so I have firsthand insight into the special bonds that form through compassionate care.

I became a pet sitter in 2021 to provide the same level of service for other pet parents that I wanted for myself and my precious cat.

About me

Beyond hands-on pet care...

  • I am currently studying for an Advanced Diploma in Applied Animal Behaviour, and working towards certification with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council.
  • I am a member of the International Society of Animal Professionals.
  • I have DBS clearance.
  • I've served as a Trustee of the RSPCA, which reflects my commitment to animal welfare and advocacy and which has enabled me to continuously learn about best practice in animal care.

Alongside my experience with animals, I have two decades of professional experience in Executive-level roles in consulting and financial services. So Care to Paws offers a unique benefit: nurturing strong, trusting, client-focused relationships not only with pets, but also with their human parents.

I understand that quality pet care means much more than being an animal lover —it needs perfect communication skills, ensuring every animal's well-being while addressing the needs and concerns of their human families.

Pet Sitting

Cats

The focus of every cat visit is the cat – not the clock!

Every cat visit includes basic care (feeding, refreshing water, changing litter, etc) as just the minimum. Visits also include playtime, cuddles, and company – on your cat's terms, of course. We know that cats' needs aren't driven by the clock, so a given visit might be longer (for example, if the cat is craving cuddles) or shorter (for example, if the cat is in a more independent mood).

Our pricing structure is uniquely flexible to ensure visits are tailored to the cat's individual preferences, needs and moods. At the end of every visit, in addition to an update on your feline friend, we send you the amount of time spent with the cat (this will never be less than 20 minutes). At the end of the booking, we average the amount of time spent per day, and charge based on the bands below:

Service Rate per visit
Initial meeting and consultation Free
Cat visits Band 1 (daily average of 20-45 mins) £18
Cat visits Band 2 (daily average of 45-60 mins) £22
Cat visits Band 3 (daily average of 60-90 mins) £30
Cat sitting – half day (4 hours) £45

Our unique pricing structure means that your cat gets the most value for your pet-sitting money – no paying for a sitter to watch the clock while your cat naps, and a guarantee of ample quality time with a cat who is in the mood for company.

Of course, if you prefer a more conventional time-based approach, we will be happy to do that as well – please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Past clients

Among the animals I've worked with have been dozens of happy, healthy cats, dogs and small furries, as well as...

  • A partially-disabled cat with aggressive tendencies because of his physical limitations.
  • A French bulldog with separation anxiety.
  • Cats needing daily eye medication.
  • A ferret with aggressive tendencies.

Ana is such a wonderful cat sitter for Mimi, and I just wanted to say again how much I appreciate the care she gives her while I’m away. It’s such a comfort knowing Mimi is with someone so calm, kind and attentive. When I come home, Mimi is always so chilled and relaxed, which really says everything about how happy and settled she is in Ana’s care. She’s quite a sensitive little cat, so seeing her so content when I return means a lot to me and reassures me that she’s been beautifully looked after.

I also really appreciate the lovely updates I receive while I’m away. It’s so reassuring to hear how Mimi is doing and to get those little glimpses of her day. Those thoughtful messages make being away from her much easier and always bring a smile.

I’m very grateful to have found someone as wonderful as Ana to look after Mimi.
